On 3rd October 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn paid an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to inspect the progress of the Dawei Special Economic Zone (“DSEZ”) – the cooperation among the three governments of Myanmar, Thailand and Japan.
The Dawei SEZ Project
is located at Dawei District, the Republic of Union of Myanmar. Dawei
is situated in the south-eastern part of Myanmar or about 630 km south
of Yangon, on the northern bank of the Dawei river estuary.
In order to efficiently facilitate the investors who are pioneering
their investment in Dawei Industrial Estate, MIE has been consisting of 8 projects;
Dawei SEZ is situated on very strategic location as the western gateway
of southern east-west economic corridor linked between Indian Ocean and
Pacific Ocean to energize land-bridge logistic system within AEC
countries
